Time2Time event 5th of may 2011

On Thursday the 5th of May, the third edition of the Time4Society fundraiser took place in the Antwerp County Hall. This year, a new component was added to the event in the afternoon, more specific a colloquium during which the importance of Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) was demonstrated by a number of speakers, such as assistant professor of the London Business School Ioannis Ioannou. The other speakers were Yves Van Durme (Partner Human Capital at Deloitte Consulting), Marc De Kegel (vice-president Time4Society), Christophe Lo Giudice (editor in chief Peoplesphere), Gunther Koch (Vice-President HR at GlaxoSmithKline Biologicals), Flemish prime minister Kris Peeters, Philippe Funcken (manager Natagora) Dirk Dupont (CEO Dupont NV), Liesbet Cleynhens (Natuurpunt) and Stefan Dhondt (manager of the Alsemberg refugee centre).

During the successful fundraiser, which followed after the colloquium, the Time Awards were handed out. The award for most creative Time Giver was won by Deloitte, whose employees accompanied children of the Alsemberg refugee centre during a fun afternoon full of activities in Children's Museum of Ixelles. For the second year in a row, GlaxoSmithKline Biologicals received the award for biggest Time Giver. And the Alsemberg refugee centre, which participated in a large number of projects, won the award for biggest fan/Time Giver. The awards were handed out by Flemish prime-minister Kris Peeters, governor of Antwerp Cathy Berx and European member of parliament Kathleen Van Brempt. Our congratulations to the happy winners.

This was not the only highlight of the evening, as the Society of Time was officially launched. Be sure to take a look and register at www.societyoftime.com.
