Frequently asked questions

When do Time4Society projects take place?

A Time4Society project mostly takes place during the spare time of a Time Giver. However, it’s also possible to participate in a project during working hours if a Time Giver wishes to do so. Consequently, a Time4Society project can take place at any given moment. Concrete arrangements are always made by mutual consent.

Will my initiative be considered as a Time4Society project?

Time4Society projects have to meet the following criteria: they are well-defined in both time and space, result-oriented, concrete and preferably interesting with respect to content. What doesn’t fit within Time4Society’s philosophy are projects with an ideological nature, projects aimed at fundraising and initiatives who compete with traditional volunteer work. Obviously, your project also has to respect the social legislation.

Who takes care of what?

Time4Society receives time requests and time offers, searches for the perfect match between potential Time Givers and Time Takers, brings both parties together and ensures that all participants of the Time Giver have liability insurance during the entire project.

The Time Taker formulates his request as accurately as possible in function of a concrete Time4Society project and is responsible for accommodating the Time Giver during the project that is agreed upon.

The Time Giver offers the competencies and cooperation of its employees to the Time4Society project during the amount of time that is agreed upon, motivates its employees and takes responsibility for the execution of the work that needs to be done. Furthermore, the Time Giver appoints a contact person, who is responsible for internal coordination and contacts with Time4Society.
